Microsoft is testing a Total Dark Mode in Word
Microsoft is testing a total dark mode in Word after releasing an intermediate version that left the sheet blank.
Dark mode reaches more and more applications and surely in a while it will be found in all. There are different reasons why this option succeeds, from being more comfortable for the eyes to being associated with lower consumption, and it is indisputable to say that their demand is growing. Although sometimes it comes gradually.
Microsoft Word has a version of dark mode that is intermediate by changing the colors of the entire window and tabs, minus the sheet that is being written on. This is an advance over the normal mode, although it must be recognized that it is not entirely logical in a similar tool.
However, as published in the Microsoft Office official page, is working on a version that is completely dark and has already reached Office Insiders users, This is the community to test new proposals of this software and to which anyone can sign up through this page.
At Microsoft have shared how to switch to full dark mode, something that has not been particularly easy as the color contrasts have to be configured so that the text remains legible and results “visually pleasing with the new dark background“.
In case you want to use dark mode in Microsoft Office, this is the way to activate it: Archive > Choices > General > Personalize and select Negro on the menu Office theme. Although we remember what they point in The Next Web, this does not mean that the sheet will be printed black, only that it looks like this on the screen.
It should not be ruled out that this total dark mode will soon reach all Microsoft Word users with an upcoming update. At the moment it is only available to those enrolled in Office Insiders and it is not known if there will be more modifications, but once the images have been shown it is expected to do so soon.
