Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra filtered: 120x zoom and a small rear screen
The design of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is filtered, which would have a gigantic camera module similar in design to the Poco M3, but with a small integrated screen, three cameras and a telephoto zoom with up to 120 magnifications.
This Monday, Xiaomi made a presentation in which it showed the Xiaomi Mi 11, a new large-format TV and a new scooter with the design of the Mercedes Formula 1 team. However, we had the thorn in the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, since it was the bombshell we expected in the presentation.
Well, it seems that we will not have to wait too long to get it in hand, since the design of the terminal has just been filtered, in which it stands out a really monstrous camera module (For the size, don’t get us wrong).
Top-of-the-range mobiles are mounting huge modules at the rear to house the camera system. The culprit that they are larger and wider is usually the periscope system to be able to offer those objectives with 5x or 10x optical.
These types of cameras need their space to be able to put the lens system and the prism necessary for correct operation, and since Xiaomi is going to introduce it in the Mi 11 Ultra, it seems that they have thought “how do we have to do it anyway, let’s do it in a big way”.
What you are seeing in these images of Tech Buff is the camera module, the tremendous camera module, of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. The video is private, of course, but here you have the link and we leave it to you, too, below:
It is a module very similar to the Poco M3, but instead of having the logo of the device in large, what Xiaomi has incorporated is a tiny screen that allows us to see, it seems, what is being seen on the main screen.
It is a very small screen and we have only seen the main dash and some application, so it seems that it replicates what we are seeing on the front screen. This may make sense for selfies (and it’s something we’ve seen, similarly, on the Nubia Z20 we reviewed a while ago).
Apart from the screen, the different sensors stand out, since it seems that the lenses are a good size and we can see an angle, a wide angle and the telephoto.
In addition to having that 120x large, which will be the total digital zoom, we can see “12-120mm” silkscreen, which is giving us a clue about the wide angle -12 mm equivalent in universal pitch- and 120 mm in the telephoto, which amounts to a 10x. We assume that the main angle will be a 26 mm, so we would have a configuration very similar to that of Samsung’s Galaxy S21 Ultra.
You have to wait, but how we see In XDA Developers, it seems the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is closer than we could think last Monday.
If we talk about other features, youtuber Tech Buff mentions a 6.8 “OLED screen with QHD + resolution and 120 Hz refresh, a 20 Mpx front camera and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. In this sense, what we have in the Mi 11 that we are analyzing.
EInside we will find the Snapdragon 888 and what would change with respect to what was seen in the Mi 11 is the battery, since from 4,600 mAh it would go to 5,000 mAh and from 55 W charging it would go to 67 W both wired and wireless (the Mi 11 has 50 W wireless).
It only remains to see if we will see the mobile in February … or we will go into March to know everything about the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra or Mi 11 Pro, as he ends up calling himself. What we know is that this camera module is going to star in several memes …
