A new leak points to an iPhone 13 with an always-on screen, Touch ID under the screen and camera improvements
As the months go by, more rumors and leaks about the next Apple phone gradually emerge. IPhone 13 It is taking shape and with it we know some of its supposed specifications. A new leak reveals the arrival of the way always-on, aesthetic changes or the 120 Hz display among other things.
In a new video de EverythingApplePro el youtuber collects a series of rumors from what this year’s iPhone will presumably bring. iPhone 12s or iPhone 13 may be the name, although the final decision is always Apple’s and you don’t have to follow any standard rules for it. Be that as it may, even more interesting are the functionalities and features that it possibly has in its different variants (Mini, Pro, Max …).
Appropriating technologies from the iPad and Apple Watch
The video, in collaboration with the leaker Max Weinbach, refers to the screen that will bring the new Apple iPhone 13. Although it maintains the same size, it seems that the technology used will be different. First highlights the mention of 120 Hz. This figure of screen refreshment we have already seen in other mobile phones, although not in Apple. At least not on the iPhone, because it does have it on iPad Pro for some time.
Another feature that seems to be importing from your other devices is screen always on. A feature that debuted first on the Apple Watch, where the screen is dimmed to indicate only a few minute details without consuming as much battery. It is expected that something similar will be used in the iPhone 13, where some icons, the time and notifications will be displayed temporarily. All this in an interface with hardly any lighting and with the minimum elements.
Leaving the screen aside a bit, it reports the possible arrival of improvements in the iPhone camera. Apple is looking to mount an improved ultrawide lens. But the camera changes points to be over software. There is speculation about the arrival of Portrait Mode to videos to record a video and later change the depth of field when editing the video. Also the inclusion of an astronomy mode in which the camera changes the settings when pointing at the night sky to take better pictures (higher exposure, noise reduction …).
Another detail to take into account is a possible smaller notch. Notch that will be accompanied by another authentication method well known to Apple, the fingerprint reader. Of course, it would be a fingerprint reader included under the screen. With the popularization of masks this last year, the fingerprint reader has once again scored points in comfort.
Apple never reports new features on its phones until they are officially unveiled. This is usually in September or October each year, so we’ll have to wait a few more months to see if these rumors (and the already known) of the iPhone 13 are real. All this always taking into account the iOS 15 rumors, the version of the operating system that will accompany the next iPhone.
