PocketBook InkPad Color: The new Pocketbook eReader has a huge 7.8-inch color screen

E Ink new Kaleido is an update to ePaper E Ink Print Color and depending on the brand your new book reader is capable of reproducing 4,096 colors and hues. The new PocketBook InkPad Color is significantly larger than the PocketBook Color. Go from six inches to 7.8 inches with 1,872 x 1,404 resolution and a density of 300 pixels per inch, important, when playing black and white content. When playing color content, the resolution drops to 624 x 468 and the pixel density to 100.
PocketBook claims to have improved screen saturation to give colors a more realistic touch. However, it still plays a 4,096 colors and shades maximum, a far cry from Advanced Color ePaper or ACeP, which is an alternative to Kaleido that is already in the oven and promises to reproduce up to 32,000 colors at a density of 200 or 300 pixels per inch.
On the other hand, the device has a front light, Bluetooth 5.1, audio player and a speech-to-text system that supports 16 languages. It supports popular formats like MP3 and OGG, among others. The eReader allows you to connect wireless headphones to listen to music, books or audiobooks, but a USB Type-C to 3.5mm jack adapter is included for using wired headphones.
As for books, he admits 19 book formats, including EPUB, MOBI, PDF, and CBR and four graphic formats (such as JPEG). It has 16 GB of internal storage, more than enough for a good collection of books, but can be expanded with microSD cards of up to 32 GB.
Finally, it should be noted that it has 2,900 mAh battery which, according to PocketBook, are capable of offering up to a month of autonomy, although it will depend on the mode of use, connectivity and the configuration that we have established.

The PocketBook InkPad Color is only available in a Moon Silver color version with 16GB of internal storage. Its price in euros has not been disclosed, but we do know that costs $ 319.99 in the United States.
