Samsung begins to update certain old mobiles with functions until now exclusive to the Galaxy S21
Through One UI 3.1 it reaches Samsung’s next-generation phones with some of the most exclusive features of the latest Galaxy S21.
The main mobiles that Samsung launched throughout 2020 receive an important update with functions that may be interesting for some users. These are functions that until now could only be found on the flagship Galaxy S21.
Upgrading to One UI 3.1 is a extended version of One UI 3.0 with which Android 11 arrived to the terminals of the brand. The first to receive it will be all the models of the series Galaxy S20, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Z Fold 2 y Galaxy Z Flip. However, it is not clear if all variants of those phones will receive the update; for example, the Galaxy S20 FE may have to wait longer.
The features that are included in this update are not going to change the lives of Galaxy owners, but they do bring exciting new options and improvements. For example, within the camera developed by Samsung, the Galaxy S21 had a single shot mode With which you can capture a variety of photos using different settings and cameras at the same time, and then select the best of those images. This function is known as Single Take.
Also in the photographic field is framed the function Eraser of objects or Object Erraser Tool. It allows to intelligently crop objects from an image already taken, without having to retouch it manually and with quite good results.
On the other hand is the tool Multi Mic Recording, with it, users can record audio both through the device’s microphone and through a connected Bluetooth device. This feature promises to get better sounding videos.
Last we have Eye Comfort Shield to adjust the blue light harmful to the terminal screen view, or Private Share, a feature that “securely encrypts” files when shared and allows users to set permissions and expiration dates for sharing the data.
Global deployment may take time to reach all of Samsung’s premium models that were sold in 2020. Even so, after these high-end models, these functions may eventually land on the brand’s mid-range and low-end terminals. .
