Streaming ‘Futurama’ At Last: Matt Groeing’s Sensational Animated Sci-Fi Satire Lands On Disney +
Some surprises were expected in the Disney + catalog with the arrival of Star, but not of this caliber: ‘Futurama’, the extraordinary sci-fi satire by Matt Groening, creator of The Simpsons, lands on the platform, in the adult animation section of Star, in its entirety. The adventures of a pizza delivery man of the present who is accidentally cryogenic and wakes up in the future, where he has to work in an intergalactic parcel agency, has earned a well-deserved cult status over the years.
Star has included all seven full seasons of the series, including the four classics aired between 1999 and 2003., the fifth made up of several feature films divided into episodes and the last two of his resurrection on Cartoon Network between 2010 and 2013, and very little seen. Disney has divided them into ten seasons, all with the same episodes to make them lighter, but you should review it with the list of episodes at hand. Strange divisions aside, they are all.
The crazy world of the future
‘Futurama’ has been partially overshadowed by the mammoth success of ‘The Simpson‘, but it’s not even remotely a minor series. While it lacks the absurd scale and punch in popular culture that decades of uninterrupted broadcasting have given the yellow family, its catalog of iconic characters and situations rivals that of Matt Groening’s most famous series. It’s one of the funniest sci-fi comedies in history alongside ‘The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy’, which isn’t exactly an easy achievement.
Prepare to be reunited with not just Fry, but Leela, Bender, Professor Farnsworth, and Dr. Zoidberg. And with Zap Branigan, of course. All episodes come in original version, but they are also with their excellent dubbing To Spanish. If you missed the original DVD boxes, highly valued today, you are in luck.
