Nu presents its credit card for first users in the country
This Wednesday, the largest independent digital bank in the world, Nubank, which operates in Colombia under the name Nu, announced the second stage of operations in the country, after its arrival last September.
The technology company officially launched the credit card product, in a beta phase, where 3,000 users who are already on the waiting list to purchase the platform’s services will receive the first cards.

So far, 250,000 people in Colombia have signed up for the Nubank waiting list to access its services in the country.
“It is a credit card International Mastercard, physical and virtual at the same time, which can be administered 100 percent from the cell phone that seeks to return control of their money to Colombians with a completely transparent, simple and humane proposal ”, Nu indicated.

At first, this financial product will have basic functionalities, but new features will continue to be incorporated according to the needs and suggestions of the users of this beta phase.
Among the alternatives that the credit card will have within the company’s application is that of control of expenses, payment alerts, that the user determines what the quota limit will be, review account statements, blocking process in case of loss or theft, among other procedures.

This product arrives in Colombia with zero handling fee, zero replacement or loss cost and zero percent interest on purchases paid in one installment. In addition, people will determine what the invoice closing date will be.
What comes in the first phase?
“Initially we planned to test the product with a small group of 200 people, but due to the success of the waiting list, We decided to extend this initial number to 3,000 people and continue with a progressive deployment that allows us to reach all those Colombians who trust us”Said Catalina Bretón, general manager of Nu Colombia.
From this Wednesday and in the coming days, the users who are chosen from the waiting list they will receive an email with an invitation code.

Once there, the people can download the Nu app on their mobile devices, which is available for Android and iOS operating systems. With this, they can enter the code.
After this, the client will fill out a form on the platform with personal data, such as identification number, delivery address, contact information. As well as security and access elements such as password or activation of biometric mechanisms.

Once this data is completed after a couple of hours the person will be able to make purchases through digital channels and in the following days you will receive the physical card at home to use it in commercial establishments.
