More connectivity for Putumayo, with 4G Mobile Internet
Claro and the Claro for Colombia sustainability program announced that more than 6,000 inhabitants of nine populated centers of the Putumayo, will now be able to enjoy the benefits of the Internet Claro’s 4G mobile, the network with the highest coverage in the national territory.
El Mirador, Naranjito, Albania, Puerto Limón, Las Pavas, El Guadualito, La Chorrosa, San Roque and Campucana, the populations connected for the first time to high speed Mobile Internet, are the beneficiaries in this first stage in the department.
“4G Mobile Internet expands the possibilities for the inhabitants of these populated centers of Putumayo to access the benefits of connectivity, educational opportunities, online training, telemedicine solutions and new electronic commerce networks, essential to give know and market their products “, he stated Maria Consuelo Castro, manager of Claro for Colombia.
This is in addition to the company’s initiative to reach 12 of the 13 Putumayo municipalities with 4G coverage, where the inhabitants of Mocoa, Orito, Puerto Asís, Puerto Caicedo, Puerto Guzmán, Puerto Leguízamo, San Francisco, San Miguel, Santiago, Sibundoy, Valle del Guamuez and Villagarzón, they can enjoy greater capacity and speed to surf the Mobile Internet.
Connected populated centers
The community of Puerto Limon, made up of approximately 500 people, it is now connected to the world with excellent Internet speeds from its mobile devices. It is located 26 kilometers by car from Mocoa, the capital of Putumayo, and is known for its natural wealth derived from gold and fishing.
The almost 200 inhabitants of El Mirador, in the municipality of Puerto Guzman, in the Middle Putumayo, located on the banks of the Caquetá River and that only has access by river.
