Although the shower is in contact with soap and water continuously, it is far from clean. On the contrary: constant humidity favors the proliferation of germs, as well as skin debris and other debris, and it is also common to find lime and other stains associated with humidity. For this reason, it is advisable to clean the shower and the shower screen or the shower curtain often.
The problem is that, on many occasions, the desired results are not achieved despite putting great effort into cleaning tasks. This may be because you are not using the right product, as there are stains that are very difficult to remove if you do not apply the indicated cleaner.
If you don’t want to spend money on expensive cleaning products, pay attention to these tricks to clean the shower effortlessly with natural ingredients and without chemicals:
- Goodbye to the lime of the artichoke. The shower head tends to build up limescale, especially in areas with hard water. To remove it and prevent clogging, mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda, a few drops of dish soap, and half a cup of vinegar in a zip-lock plastic bag. Insert the shower head inside it, making sure that the foam that forms covers all the holes well. Leave it on for at least 30 minutes, remove the bag and scrub with a toothbrush.
- Polishes shower tiles. Bring your tiles back to shine in no time. You just need to mix water and baking soda and scrub with a soft sponge. If there are stubborn stains, mix a little soap with vinegar to treat the dirty parts, and rinse with water.
- Bring life back to the screen. If you want your shower screen to look resplendent, apple cider vinegar is your best ally. Mix 3/4 cup of apple cider vinegar, 1/4 of alcohol, 1 cup of water and half a tablespoon of soap in a spray bottle, apply it on the glass of the screen and dry it with newspaper. You will see that the glass is clean and shiny, even if it is very dirty and with traces of lime.
- Unclog the drain. Is the shower pipe clogged with hair and other debris? You can unclog the tub with just two ingredients from your kitchen. Put a cup of baking soda and a cup of vinegar down the drain, and you will see the mixture begin to bubble, removing the clog.
