‘Disappearance mode’, the new option that WhatsApp would have
Privacy: a few months ago, with the announcement of changes in its policies, this became the largest crusade of WhatsApp. Everything indicates that the popular app instant messaging now works on options that allow it to regain the trust of its users after the controversy that their new conditions of service unleashed.

At least that’s how he assured it WABetaInfo, one of the most reliable portals about information and updates of this application. On a recent article, assured that WhatsApp would be testing a new tool called ‘Disappearing mode’.
WABetaInfo explains that the option would be available in a future update (does not specify when) and that it will allow the user delete messages by default, either in an individual or group conversation.

The portal reviews that this would be a feature designed for those who asked for more privacy tools on the platform.

How would it work?
WhatsApp currently has options that allow you to delete messages (‘Delete for all ‘ Y ‘Delete for me’) or configure so that these are deleted in certain time (‘Temporary message‘).
But those tools have their ‘buts’. In the first, it is only allowed in an estimated time of 60 minutes. If this period is exceeded, you can only ‘Delete for me’. In the second option, when temporary messages are activated, they disappear seven days after they have been sent.

Many specialized portals ensure that the app He has been working on improving these tools for some time. However, they agree that both are far from offering the level of privacy available on similar platforms. In many of these, for example, there are options for ephemeral messages, which disappear as soon as they are read by the recipient.
Therefore, the ‘Disappearance mode’ would be an ambitious bet of WhatsApp.
WABetaInfo ensures when it is active all new chats would have ephemeral messages activated. And although it does not offer more details, everything indicates that the configuration established by the users within the ‘temporary messages’ would be applied (view photo).
The portal even says that the recipient could not take a screenshot of the conversation or its multimedia files.
In his article, WABetaInfo He comments that the platform would also be working on other updates, such as the possibility of changing the color of the application icons.
WhatsApp, however, has not reported any future updates so far.
