Loto Punto, easier digital payments
Víctor Espinosa, Ricardo Osorio and Bryan Prado saw a great business idea when in the middle of creating the platform lajuega.com, which allowed them to acquire lottery tickets virtually, they noted the need to offer to make digital payments through a physical machine.
This led them to create from scratch a software and a hadware that allows people to do the process autonomously and without having an advisor to advance the process.
“The first version only allowed to buy lotteries, but We realized that technology was useful for much more and solves a problem of automation of business processes of any other transactionIt was there that we designed a multipurpose platform for mass consumption transactions ”, indicates Víctor Espinosa, co-founder and CEO of Loro Punto.

For this reason, through these machines, that are located in neighborhood stores, shopping centers and department stores, you can make cell phone recharges, bank transactions and collections for companies.
The potentiality of this technology led them to think about other lines of business aimed at companies, where they are offered the equipment which is adapted according to business need, such as ordering a meal and paying for the order directly, without resorting to a cashier or intermediary.

“We continue working on the development of facial and document recognition to expand the possibility of doing procedures,” explains Espinosa.

“We wanted to evolve the physical shopping center, which, as has already been seen in other countries with the rise of the e-commerce begins to register fewer sales. That is why we wanted this sector to also enter the equation ”, indicates Tobón.
For this reason, they established different value propositions. Where through the application users can know the inventories of the products that are in the physical stores of the shopping centers, in order to consult the exact and closest location in which the product is located to be able to go there or order it in address with delivery times no longer than two hours.
Furthermore, Tobón points out, developed social network features, where the person can share products, follow stores of their interest, make a wish list and find out what purchases their acquaintances have made.

The company seeks to reach the international market this year with the opening of the platform in Mexico.
GoElegido, an option to drive safely
Have an easy and fast alternative to get a chosen driver was the starting point for the creation of GoElegido, the Colombian app that helps connect people who need this service.
The first line of business of the platform changed completely as a result of the pandemic, since at the beginning it was focused on night hours, for people who were in bars or parties and who after consuming alcohol could not drive. The closure of this sector in the last year limited the possibilities of the app.

We also include the service for athletes who wish to be accompanied while they are training. We carry out the service from the person’s own vehicle ”, details Lucas Tamayo, co-founder and executive director of GoElegido.
Likewise, they have developed alliances with insurance companies and vehicle rental companies that make use of the platform for their business needs.
