Movistar Music is here: 50 million songs, without advertising, offline download and much more
Telefónica has made the leap into a new market, that of streaming music. Movistar Music is presented to compete with Spotify, Tidal, Apple or Amazon Music.
Although Movistar Música is not entirely new, it has first been tested in Latin America and later landed in Spain, where it is presented today with several subscription options. Telefónica has taken advantage of the European Music Day to announce its new platform.
Movistar Música is presented as a multi-device streaming service that houses more than 50 million songs. Being completely paid, it does not include advertising and allows you to download the songs to listen to them without an internet connection.
It will be available for both Android and iOS from mobile and will have two payment methods: Lite and Premium. Users of Movistar Home, the home device with natively integrated Aura. You can access this service from today for free with the “Stations” mode.
The Lite subscription is designed for users to discover new songs and artists by choosing from 5,000 exclusive playlists that have been developed by musicologists. It also recommends weekly music charts and a Top 40 with the most popular ones. For 4.99 euros it does not include advertising, allows you to skip all the songs you need to find one that you like and offers sections of videos, news, contests and exclusive meetings with artists.
On the other hand, the Premium subscription includes everything that Lite offers and adds the unlimited download 50 million songs and the ability to create your own playlists and share them. It is possible to hire it for 3.34 euros a week or for 9.99 euros per month.
For now It does not indicate that it will have a connection with Movistar +, Telefónica’s television and streaming content service that can be combined with Netflix or Disney plus, among other options, depending on the contract chosen.
