Apple will remove the notch from your iPhone in a really complicated way
Although it is one of the hallmarks of Apple phones, the company is testing a way to hide the notch that involves moving parts despite the bad reputation of these solutions.
When all-screen designs took hold, companies had to decide what to do with the sensors, speaker, and camera that had always occupied a small place on top of the front of smartphones.
With more or less original proposals, the one who stood out was Apple with its notch, since it was a very aggressive notch while the rest tried to hide that area. It was a design of pride, a brand of identity … that not everyone likes.
Now, and after several models with notch, It seems that Apple has devised a way to hide the eyebrow and make the design much cleaner and more harmonious, at the rate of what other companies are doing.
Thanks to a patent discouragingfloprta recently it seems that Apple would have developed a system to hide the notch through moving parts. What it would do, basically, would be to cover the eyebrow while sensors and camera are not in use.
And, when we need the front camera and / or the sensor, we would only have to move the screen, thus revealing the components.
This method is not new, since many companies have tried periscope cameras and sliding parts, without really succeeding either of these proposals, so it will be necessary to see well how this solution of moving parts would work, which would not convince the general public too much.
Despite the reluctance, it is logical that Apple wants to try new designs, as the competition increasingly tightens their frames while hiding the cameras and sensors under the screen, and while they continue with a solution that was born obsolete 3 years ago.
Of course, being Apple who is behind the mobile solution, it would be strange if it did not fit well with the design of the phone or that it did not just work well, since if they stand out in something is in the quality of construction of their products. Time will tell.
