AMD Announces Fidelity FX Super Resolution 2.0 Coming to Xbox
Computer processor giant AMD continues to push the resolution possibilities in image quality with Fidelity FX Super Resolution 2.0. This graphics card will now be compatible with Xbox video game consoles.
Initially, FSR 2.0 was expected to be compatible only with PC, but recently, the director of Xbox program management, Jason Ronald, announced on his Twitter account the collaboration that will be done with AMD.
This graphics card is positioned as competition from the one developed by NVIDIA, the DLSS, which uses machine learning technology to achieve very high resolutions.

In contrast, AMD’s FSR does not use artificial intelligence processes, but rather feed frames with previous frames to give a seamless transitions look between one image and another.
Being a graphics card without artificial technology, it is compatible with a greater diversity of computing processors. This makes it more versatile.
More FPS and more opportunities for developers
Demonstration of the operation of the Fidelity FX Super Resolution 2.0
Fidelity FX Super Resolution 2.0 is so powerful that it manages to hit 150fps over native 49fps frames. Although there are no video game releases yet that are compatible with this technology, Xbox will also make the technology available in its Game Developer Kit (GDK) for creators to include in new titles.

Deathloop and Forspoken are expected to include support for FSR 2.0 for release in the second half of 2022.
Because AMD has open source technologies, developers at MIT and those registered with Microsoft will be able to adapt their creations to the opportunities presented by FSR 2.0.
