The exciting Kingdom Hearts 4 was just announced at a 20th-anniversary event for the franchise with the release of a trailer that looks more than promising in terms of this game’s future. There are updated visuals and a whole new world with more realism than ever before to draw players in.

With this being said, there isn’t much information that Square Enix has released to the public, however, the few things fans do know, are way too exciting not to share. This Disney Pixar game is shaping up to be the best yet.

The Release Date Isn’t Confirmed…Yet


Kingdom Hearts 4 is confirmed, but its release date is not.

Though the release date has yet to be confirmed by Square Enix, Gosunoob says that the earliest possible release date could be as soon as early 2023. With the trailer showing just how detailed the game is compared to previous entries, it might take a little longer due to quality control.

For instance, Kingdom Hearts 3, with its many secrets and easter eggs, It took six years to be released after it was first announced so there is a wide range of when this game could be expected. This being said, with things up and running after some pretty bad lockdowns, there’s not much doubt that this game will arrive sooner than that.

During the same announcement, the company also broke news of a mobile game called Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link. The exploring game is set in Scala and Caelum where players will be able to adventure and fight until their heart’s content right from their phone.

This news is super thrilling because the closed beta is set to be ready in late 2022 according to Dexterus, which is extremely soon. Hopefully, fans will be able to play this game while waiting for more concise details on Kingdom Heart 4’s release date.


The Playstyle Looks Similar To Previous Games In The Franchise


As seen from the trailerthe general playstyle of Kingdom Hearts 4 looks incredibly familiar to those who have played the previous three games. It appears more sophisticated in terms of overall mechanics, but the general tricks and abilities are the same.

There’s No News On What Platforms It Will Be On, But…

though Square Enix you have yet to say what platforms Kingdom Hearts 4 will be launching on, it’s probably safe to assume it will be playable on PS4,PS5,XBOX, and most likely even switch since Kingdom Hearts 3, which has some of the hardest boss battles, was compatible for all of these systems according to Kotaku.


Reaching as many different consoles as possible is going to be a huge process, but it’s definitely going to encourage new players to buy it and allow older players to stick to the same system that they feel most comfortable playing on.

It just looks crisp and really well refined, which is something that not just fans of the franchise will love. Any gamer will be able to appreciate this level of storytelling mixed with great overall art style.

Gosunoob also confirmed, along with the game’s trailer, that Strelitzia, a Keyblade wielder, will be a new main character in this more modern world that is more city-like. She is sure to be one of the most likable Kingdom Hearts characters to date.

While a previous game in the franchise set up her backstory and gave her a tragic ending, she is obviously alive and well in this new story. The giddiness that fans feel because of her presence of her is understandable considering they want to know how she was resurrected.

Donald Duck And Goofy Are Returning

Gosunoob also confirms that Donald Duck and Goofy will be returning as Sora’s main companions. These two have been sticking to Sora’s side from the start so fans are happy that even though the world is changing, the characters are friendly faces.

These two will have even great updated looks and, hopefully, they will have some fun dress-up moments like they had in previous Kingdom Hearts games, which also have some great theme songs to go along with them.

According to Gosunoob and the game announcement trailer, Kingdom Hearts 4 is set in Quadratum, a realistic-looking city with a dark problem on its hands that only Sora and his friends can stop.

This city might not be as vibrant and abstract as previous worlds have been in this franchise, but it’s a great change that is sure to keep players feeling like they are in the reality of the game. It’s surely going to be a fun and immersive experience when it comes out!
