Almost two million users have changed operators so far in 2022
According to the recent Flash Data on Mobile Number Portability presented by the CRCthere was an increase of 48.05 percent in shipments in relation to the same period of the previous year.
Between January and March of this year, telephone users changed their operator keeping their telephone number, and a total of 1.88 million porting operations were carried out.

Mobile number portability is a right, defined by the CRC since 2011, whose duration initially took 5 days. This time was later reduced in 2012 to 3 days, and from July 1, 2020, by decision of the regulator, decreased to less than one business day.
Since the measure was implemented until March 2022, the total number of portings has been 35.3 million.

CLARO was the operator that registered one more operations as a donor of users, with a total of 577.9 thousand; followed by TIGO with 456.1 thousand; MOVISTAR with 387.2 thousand and WOM with 328.9 thousand, according to the report.
As for the operator that more transactions of portability registered as a receiver of users, CLARO is also at the forefront with 682.2 thousand; followed by TIGO with 480.4 thousand; MOVISTAR with 438.5 thousand and WOM with 231.9 thousand.
For its part, traders with a negative net result were: WOM (-96.9 thousand) AVANTEL (-35.1 thousand), ÉXITO (-20.7 thousand), VIRGIN (-15.9 thousand), FLASH MOBILE (-5.9 thousand), ETB (-4.7 thousand) and SETROC (-639), confirmed the study.
