Now you will be able to configure several existing conversations at the same time with temporary messages.

Disappearing messages are an interesting feature that we have in WhatsApp and that allow us to play with privacy, allowing us to select a default duration for many of our conversations.

Until now we have within WhatsApp configuration and privacy the possibility of choose a duration for messagessome temporary messages that we can choose a period of time between 24 hours and 90 days, something that is disabled by default and many people are overlooking.

However, in the option that is currently available in the stable version, we are told that this configuration “it will not affect our existing conversations”, only in the new individual chats, something that we will be able to customize much more in the future thanks to the latest beta update of the application.

And it is that the beta version 2.22.16.8 of WhatsApp for Android includes a new option within this default duration where we will be able to select to apply a message timer to several conversations at the same time. It is, without a doubt, a way to save us time, taking into account the large number of existing conversations that we have.

In this way, we can put some of the existing chats that we already have with a predetermined duration of the new messages so that it is not necessary to access each one of them and configure it.

Note that this feature is in beta for android testersand presumably it will be available in a stable version in the coming months, so we will have to keep waiting.
